Magistrate of Chang Sha. Wei Yan killed him when surrendering to Liu Bei.

Differences Between Fact and Common Fiction

  • Was not killed by Wei Yan. Surrendered Changsha of his own accord.
  • Historic accountings of Han Xuan usually describe him as friendly and personable. Quite a contradiction to the nasty character presented in the novel.
