- Authored by Moss Roberts, this abridged 504-page paperback edition of Romance of the Three Kingdoms is the best abridged version available. As always, though, we discourage the purchase of an abridged Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel. Far too much happens too quickly and the abridged edition can be even harder to follow. If money is tight, invest a little more in the four-volume paperback edition.
